Kansas Kare prayer:
In the land of the Wizard of the Oz
Empathy for the poor, senior citizens, children, veterans and more is a lost cause
We must penalize these slouchers
By a heavy-handed investigation of the use of their vouchers
We must wrest away their intrepid laziness
Corporations get billions more off the dole
Yet they are more beneficial
So say the Free Market Frankenstein Monster officials
Via their buy-backs of their own stocks in the financial sector
Than the Jesus of Ole
They are the Profits of our Religion
The High Priests!
We decree this!
As our mutually beneficently agreed national decision
Help Kansas Kare Governor Brownback look for further ways
To resist these “otherly” strays
Providence rises the Sun to illuminate these insightful rays
Prosperity comes when we add to their derision
Amen!
