It was the Year 4 Thousand Fitty

And getting down to the nitty-gritty

Was the digging detail of The New York City

Archaeological Committee

What they unearthed from the ground

Generated excitement from all around

At the Treasure they had found

An Original Facebook writing

Whose Mammy encouraged his love of reading!

The dutiful son’s pick-up of the daily newspaper both needing

She was affectionately known

In the diverse Astoria neighborhood

Where the polemic poet’s sweet mother was known

As Kitty

Although Momma was tough

Her intelligence was leading
