Can you feel the stirring wind?

What does it mean

When will it end

What things of joy does it portend

A new beginning or bitter end

Will we be lovers or still best friends

Can we start over and make amends

Can you feel the stirring wind?

Is this really how the change begins

Will I be washed of all my sins

All my losses turned to wins

Will there shine light upon this din

A different body than the one I am in

A better mind to see through the spin

Can you feel the stirring wind?

Will it be real or just pretend

Will I heal or never mend

Who is that in the pictures I’m in

The days of old with fallen men

Did they ascend to a better land

Can you feel the stirring wind?

It’s on your wings that men depend

Where old lives end

and new ones begin
