A high ranking manager at my place of employment remarked on the seminal protests and riots after the George Floyd murder:
The Liberals have gotten what they have asked for!
The comment gave me pause?
While other co-workers nodded and affirmed
I informed the boss
The political and social slur was not ripe for applause
Never mind that his use of the word “Liberal”
Is defined solely within him!
Whatever his actual definition thereof
To the outside world slack and lost!
As any thinking adult can surmise without overdo surprise
In general people hold all kinds of persuasions peccadilloes and thoughts
The token slogan as it were
Based on a Superiority cause
Is exactly what has gotten us to this place from the first case
Utilizing these kinds of lazy broad expressions
Social and political mumbo jumbo
The pigeonhole of thought for the unsophisticated and cohorts
Ignoramus bores!
It seems to me unpleasantly
Only leads the pious plebes
To the Land of the Lost
