Voting can help us to elect politicians
Who are within our policy-goal range
An organized and persistent Citizenship
And Economic Social and Political Activism
Is the only thing that will bring about meaningful change
Been true since the days of Jesus of Nazareth
Frederick Douglass
John Brown
Joan of Arc
And Dr. Martin Luther King
Sunny May days
Surely no one believes that it was simple voting
That unloosed the bondage of the slave?
Consumers oft times
Are easily seductively sidelined
Sidetracked by the spectacle
The Circus
As their political class is bought and paid.
It is only necessary for a committed 5-10%
Of a strongly focused and organized citizenry
To orchestrate the sway
To a better way
Lead the knaves
- Then again “The Kardashians” season premiere starts today!
