I am hiding

Pray that our sworn enemy will not see!

I hath trained earnestly

Daily

To fulfill my duty

For country

In the United States Army

Remember me

I fight to honor

Our most cherished principle

A country

Of the people

For the people

In defense of Lincoln’s democracy

Remember me

As my position hath been exposed

Leaving nowhere to flee

Remember me

After these long painful

Harrowing

Days in captivity

Most of all

Remember me

For the the most patriotic yet humble plea

Seek ye not hegemony!

Strive for peace
