The Poet

Photo by Vijay Bhaskar on Pexels.com

The persevering poet

Creates from pure thought

Distills emotions into feelings
Long-sought

Provokes positive/ pessimistic reaction to lessons
Prior taught

Challenges the lies the general public oft bought

Content in the sublime knowledge

All fame and fortune
Whilst one is still breathing

Is all for naught

Resolute that his/ her conviction
Willed forward intuitively must wrought

The most delightfully exuberant future for Mankind

Proxy of the One

Once the writings have begun

Set sail free!

To the creative seas

Poems brought forth as Mother Nature’s honey

To the searching probing bee

Relief!

To the qualitative indistinct

Competitive nature of the working class life

Strife!

Filled with socially injurious turmoil and economic fraught!

Acknowledgement typically arrives for the toiling poet

As she/ he resides in an inconspicuous casket

As an ancient artistic after-thought

Moved To Action

Brothers and Sisters, if it was not for people like you unafraid to be moved to ACTION not just mere thought or internal prayers, NO SOCIAL CHANGES would have ever happened to right the wrongs of injustice that have always been a part of our history, although it is not taught in schools.

The mere idea , for example, that black people were somehow freed from bondage through prayer is a slap in the face to all of those bloodied, whipped and killed who urgently HOPED AND PRAYED daily for RELIEF and a capitulation to their and their babies subjugation to the pernicious economic political and social policy.

Blood and Moral indignation followed up with courageous action IS THE ONLY THING that literally changed that cruel system and it still took many, many years.

Anyone who professes this fact of history to be false, practices the worst kind

of moral cowardice, cloaked in prayerful “magical thinking,” that precludes

them from performing any material acts proving their zealotry to past social leaders like

Jesus of Nazareth, Joan of Arc, Harriet Tubman, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Jones, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and John Brown.

Raising doubt as to their spirituality being nothing more than a mere canard.

Floating on the wings of fantasy.

Hard work, prayer, and positive thinking have their place.
Just not as government policy.

Yet none of them trump empathy.

Trump empathy is what it shall be.

Unless we are moved to action.

Life Under The Sun

The old ways are dying

As a tree fades gently into the night

Nevermore for its leaves to shine bright

A new dawn is arising

The harbingers of the past

Keep clawing

Yet they will not cease

To feel the weight of the world

Fall into its destiny

Voila!

A new day has begun!

The final journey from the physic to the quantum infinitum

Where the working class

Can relax

Create

And enjoy

Life!

Under the sun

Forrest Trump

Life is like a concrete border wall
Standing alone
Against the Winds of Time
Paying not a hint of attention
To the squall
Nor the federal workers call
For pay checks
The only thing that matters
Is thine Celebrity
And political status
The symbolism of the Superior Structure
Practically shouts to all
Bring not your poor
Destitute
Freedom searching souls
Unto my shore
Our hearts are as hard as steel
And concrete joined
Empathy toucheth me not at all

I Am Your Noble Ruler!

Democracy beseeched!

My decrees reach
The cities and hinterlands
Sent out fort-with

Authoritatively!

The Invisible Hand Out-of-Hand

Photo by Valdemaras D. on Pexels.com

Any Investor worth his salt could have told you the Bull was high
The top of the mountain reached
Then comes The Bubble
The Bear Market nigh

The Apprentice President was assumed to have such astounding Business Acumen

Propped Up
By the Working Class!

We have our Billionaire Celebrity to run The Show!

Somebody cue up Etta James
At Last!

Alas – When will we ever learn that a sound economy is not built on Financial Flash

Simple Supply and Demand

What can be bought at the store and picked up from the worker’s hand?

Giving gi-normous tax breaks to billionaires and corporations

Only widens The Bubble

Creating far more Space and Time
for the Stock Market to unwind

For the Crashing economy

To land

Creating once again hardship

For those who must survive

On the toiler’s grind

Why do you surmise the CEO’s put the majority of the money into their own stocks to climb?

Their multi-billion dollar bonuses regardless of the market maneuvers arrive every year

Right on time!

The “naturally” benevolent Invisible Hand

Has workers and the poor paying once again

Out-of-hand

Santa’s Elves

Did you know?
A long long time ago
There was born
In the North Pole snow
A baby elve

Her red-cheeked face
All aglow

Little did she know?

Her tiny Momma
Had perished
In the Arctic cold

Santa Claus smiled at his newborn child

Despite losing his was-to-be elven wife

He could not bring himself to imagine the business strife

Her tiny baby’s eyes
And his entwined

Taking his mind
But for a moment

Off of the momentous morbid woe

From the depths of his consumer-driven jolly heart

His tears signaled a resigned goodbye

Amid a fresh newly charted start

Knowing the path must yet go forward

For him and his wife’s wonderful gift

Of a healthy and vibrant daughter

Mr. Claus managing a smile

Burst forth a tenderly sympathetic
Yet lovingly empathetic

Ho Ho!

Appropo Shhh!
Don’t Make A Sound
I’ma Clarify This
It’s Like Catching St. Nicholas
Coming Down From The Chimney
Toyless and Joyless
As He Hits The Ground
Square Yourself Off
You’re Lookin’ a Bit Clowned
Lookin’ For One Word
To Describe this Ditty

Bubbalicious!

Freak-off!

How Bout Profound

Furnace of the Fires

Pray to your God
Think only a positive thought
Work hard for thine regard

Where is the receipt?

For these all lies that I have bought

Another child without food
Another petty crime committing black man dead

Another War abroad

Innocent Palestinians mashed and mauled

Killer Drones off-shored

To add to
The Furnace of the Fires
Of the dread

Another First amendment protester silenced
Another consumer borne

Fascism ushered in via Citizens

Where is the integrity?

Where is the scorn?

Trump’s World War One Veteran Rain Dance

Photo by Miles Rothoerl on Pexels.com

It’s raining!
It’s pouring!

Honoring American soldiers killed in World War One at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France?
Or snoring?

Will I get big adoring crowds?
Ratings soaring?

If not about my regalness!
Then it is naturally boring!

Why all the underlings imploring?

I cherish my soldiers
More than Hermann Wilhelm Goring

We shalt defeat the evil Caravan

On our own sand

Thus it will be raining and pouring

Adulation!

Winning!

For my warring – Genius!
