Cinco De Mayo
The fifth day of May
To all Mexicans

A very special day

It celebrates the Mexican's Armies
Unlikely victory over France

The Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862
Napoleon's grab for Mexican lands

At the time of this battle
France's Army was considered the World's best
Led by Napoleon
It was hell-bent on achieving World conquest

An 8,000 strong French Army
Marched to Puebla
To cause misery
Yet it was the 4,000 Pueblans
Who secured the victory

Mexicans celebrate this great triumph
With fun fiesta and loud cheers

The French Army had not been defeated previously
For at least 50 years

By defeating a much better equipped Army
The Mexican soldiers were outnumbered by man steel and horse
They ensured there would never be an attack
On a country of the Americas

By any other European military force

Although their comrades had died
The Mexican army were hungry
Their lips "muy seco"
The soldiers cried "Ole!"
As the mariachi sang

"Viva Mexico!"

Feliz Cinco De Mayo! Viva Mexico!

All the President’s Legal Horses

And All the President’s Supporters Women/Men

Cannot hide the evidence

To come from

Special Counsel Mueller’s/ N.Y. State investigations/ January 6th House Committee/ Georgia Grand Jury Election Tampering Investigation

And what the truth

Bares

Dares

Cares

To portend

The Emperor with Red Clothes

With millions of supporters who believe the election was stolen from him with no evidence just they suppose?

Will he be disrobed?

Or treated like some Modern Day

Job golden robe?

And Justice

Law and Order

Democracy

Prevail in the end?

It is only acceptable when The Narcissistic One
Insults slanders and lies for our team’s sake

Should a comedian decide to roast our irredeemable prevaricating non-politician ever political American-Apprentice-Presidential-rake?

The Correspondents dinner is a journalistic tradition that was created for the 1st Amendment’s sake

We shall all turn into:

The most aggrieved The most put-upon The most mocked The most impudent The most pitiful!

Hellhound Snowflakes!

Then again we can pretend

The whole affair was demon-strably fake!

The Sweet Bye and Bye

butterfly-chess-board-women-s-board-edelfalter-158327.jpeg

Out of the darkness
Born into the sweet light

Is lascivious life

Kicking and screaming

Humming a lullaby

Why! Oh why!
The tree climbs ever high

Color and vigor of the leaves
Changing Slightly
Most Imperceptibly

Suddenly I have conquered the night

The jungle no longer
Beckons me with fright

Why! oh why!
Must I die!

Down the valleys of despair!
Over the mountains

Yet I climb

Yearning for happiness
Pray tell what may I find?

The lion protecting his pride

From the economic social and political dangers
That lurk outside

Where the people reside

Will you bring me inner peace?

My eternal celestial design

From the universal quantum and physical laws
Outside in the wilderness of the concrete streets

At the finality
The sweet bye and bye

In the sanctity of my mind

Anti-Politician

Anti-government policy-makers

Make pro-business and anti-constituent laws

They turn around and expound

On those economically dis=advantaged

And ‘otherize” them as lazy

With innate flaws

In their wholly business communities

They take liberty to libel

Twisting the words of the Bible

The poor

As Takers

Sermons to the Corporate room board

The New Profits revere their appeals

As uncaring dieties

All for their own selfish self-proclaimed productive cause

Pause

Providing nothing by way of economic policy for the poor and working-class

The Anti-Politicians are met with thunderous White House rally applause
