On questions of military actions of yore
Or more presently
That Americans are asked to endure
Yet more
Taxpayer funded Shock and Awe
While millions are unemployed
And without healthcare on our shore
What is it all for?
With all of it’s death, mutilations, and gore
The American government wants us to
See it as exalted
So as for it not to be halted
That is why they implore
Just this one time more
For more war
But the particular business
Is rotten to the core
It has become a friend
To some immoral men
A place to buy and spend
Weapons
A relation with
A more realistic sensation
Of that of interacting with
A whore
When things go wrong
Too easy to reach for
We claim now we must enter into it
As if it were a chore
Somehow a way to restore
Some strange nationalistic decor
Framed to restore
All that we adore
This is what our elected officials
Practically roar
Yet it is all so damned impure
And it’s undertaking only makes sure
That instead of a cure
It’s initiation tends to act
Like a fish to a lure
And like the
Fuhrer
It will seek to endure
The answer to the question then
Is quite simple to conjure
No More War
