We must live for justice and human rights
For all people
Lest we will die
Allowing the pestilence
Of injustice
To visit our own beloved
Like a thief in the night
Encased in a lie
For the moment
We allow degradation
On our neighbor’s door
Whilst peering unnoticed
At the diabolical events
Through the ever present sky
Quickens the moment
The knock will come
Rapping at our own door
Not me!
We will implore!
This is how
All civility will die
Die for want of empathy
To a superiority jive
Once a mark of social esteem
Racial and religious prejudice!
Intellectually society held theme
To the highest edifice
Inversely
Now a putrid crime
