THE QUEST-ION OF WAR

Photo by Alex Dugquem on Pexels.com

On questions of military actions of yore

Or more presently

That Americans are asked to endure

Yet more

Taxpayer funded Shock and Awe

While millions are unemployed

And without healthcare on our shore

What is it all for?

With all of it’s death

Mutilations,

And gore

The American government wants us to

See it as exalted

So as for it not to be halted

That is why they implore

Just this one time more

For more war

But the particular business

Is rotten to the core

It has become a friend

To some immoral men

A place to buy and spend

Weapons

A relation with

A more realistic sensation

Of that of interacting with

A whore

When things go wrong

Too easy to reach for

We claim now we must enter into it

As if it were a chore

Somehow a way to restore

Some strange nationalistic decor

Framed to restore

All that we adore

This is what our elected officials

Practically roar

Yet it is all so damned impure

And it’s undertaking only makes sure

That instead of a cure

It’s initiation tends to act

As a fish to a lure

Emboldening

The neo-Fuhrer

It will seek to endure

The answer to the question then

Is quite simple to conjure

No More War

I AWAIT ON THEE

Stubbornly

I await on thee

To steer us from

This stormy sea

Through much heartache

But Oh!

Such times of glee

What is this thing

That has overtaken me

Through all the darkness

It is just your face I see

None else

Can imagine your pedigree

It will not be long

Till my heart

Beats free

Amongst the royal assembly

Where your crowned King

And I your Queen

SUPERIORITY JIVE

Photo by Harrison Haines on Pexels.com

We must live for justice and human rights

For all people

Lest we will die

Allowing the pestilence

Of injustice

To visit our own beloved

Like a thief in the night

Encased in a lie

For the moment

We allow degradation

On our neighbor’s door

Whilst peering unnoticed

At the diabolical events

Through the ever present sky

Quickens the moment

The knock will come

Rapping at our own door

Not me!

We will implore!

This is how

All civility will die

Die for want of empathy

To a Superiority Jive

Once a mark of social esteem and racial justice

Now a putrid crime

EFFICACY

Photo by Clement Eastwood on Pexels.com

Simple to you

Easy to me

The precedent

To implement

Will affect

Efficacy

Why?

I surmise

When dark clouds are

Easy to see

The Mind

Will have you do

Exactly

As you please

A GOOD DAY

To fathom the disagreeable

I’ve discerned

Is to not let your hostilities

Blow up

Much too rash

For life has its many incongruities

That hide in plain sight

Like a cat

Poised to strike

From the high grass

When tempests are testing

Your infallibility

To go on

Without unleashing

A personal blast!

Use your wit

I submit

It’s in your ability

To have your esteem

Still pristine

Without all the sass

Everyone of us

Has our own

Perfect halo

That is soiled

By acts

We cannot take away

We move on with a smile

And go the extra mile

And with that

I’d like to wish everyone

A Good Day

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Ladies and Gents

I come bearing full my compense

For all of my misgivings causing reader repents

Upon further review

The message I was trying to construe

At times crossed over boundaries

That originate in the pew

Fortwith presently I swear

Forswearing manner seen debonair

I shalt tone down the rhetoric

Whilst maintaining it’s flair

To those in the knoW

Whispers abound my style has begun to plateau

This has filled me with anguish and tempestuous woe

From my hedonistic head to my calloused big toe

My blessed constitution moves forward yet forcefully with no fear

For my resolutions with some substitutions I shalt devoutly adhere

As we embark on this journey to the 2024 frontier

I endeavor to wish

All of You

Good Tidings and a Happy New Year!

FORGIVE FOR TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS

I shall layeth down

My cloak of redemption

It shall cleaneth you

Of all manner of compensation

For just as my temperament

Doth squabble feebly

With the present foibles

Of my most difficult current hostilities

Time

Sweet majestic

Unwavering time

Doth reconcile in me

An assurance of tranquility

Shall invade my troubled waters

And calm the turbulent seas

To but a ripple

As if transposed to a lake

Where the sun doth shine

From the heavens

And prosperity will live

In my house

Once more

DANGER

Dastardly dangers

Lurk

Wherever you are

They can come from far away

Or from right where you are

Sometimes

The greatest perils

Are the ones

You can’t see

Tinier even than

The legs of a flea

Evolution and Nature

Are a most formidable pair

Protecting and selecting

Death

The last breath

To even those

With the most

Savoir faire

Return To Dust

Crass ignorance

Doth propel my heart

To anguish

Why have thou forsaken me?

Is it just for my

Pithy pleading

To wither

In the valley of the damned

Shall I be cursed to my geography

And mine ancestors whims

What insolence

Has mine cretin thoughts

Winnowed

With these allusions to science

Pray for me Providence

For the hour of my reckoning

Draws nearer

Mine blackened heart

I give up wholly to you

Do with it as you must

As One is born

One must

Return

To dust
